We fully understand how frustrating it can be to work on collecting a money judgment for years, only to walk away with nothing but a headache. You spent countless hours along with significant financial resources, and for what? Now you are ready to give up.
Before you give up, can we at least talk? Judgment Collectors is a Utah judgment collection agency based in Salt Lake City. We are active in nearly a dozen states. Collecting money judgments is all we do. It is our business. Better yet, we collect on a consignment basis. If we don’t collect, you don’t pay. You really have nothing to lose by contacting us for help.
We Have the Time
Clients come to Judgment Collectors for a number of reasons. One we hear a lot is that clients just don’t have the time to keep putting into collection efforts. We get it. Property searches take time. So does skip tracing. And even when you know a debtor’s whereabouts and all the assets they own, making contact can take a while.
Here’s the thing you need to know about us: we have the time that you lack. We have nothing but time. You don’t specialize in collecting debts, which is why your time is so precious to you. You need to put that time into other things. But here at Judgment Collectors, we are happy to invest our time on behalf of clients.
You Can’t Find the Debtor
We work with other clients who ultimately come to us because they have lost track of their respective debtors. One debtor may have simply disappeared without a trace. Another packed up and left town without leaving forwarding information. It creates a sticky situation, but not an impossible one.
We utilize something known as skip tracing to find debtors trying to stay lost. We cannot divulge the details of how it works, but skip tracing is a strategy successfully employed by debt collectors, attorneys, private investigators, and even bounty hunters. It is a useful tool in the hands of a skilled investigator.
You may have lost track of your debtor. Yet there is a good possibility we can find them, anyway. We would be honored if you gave us the opportunity. If we can find them, we can make contact and try to work out payment.
The Debtor Agreed to Pay but Then Didn’t
If your judgment debtor agreed to pay but then didn’t, know that you’re not alone. This happens more often than you might think. There could be any number of reasons explaining why, but you’ll never know if you give up now.
Among the many things we do for clients is conduct public records searches. These searches can give us a pretty solid picture of a debtor’s finances and assets. It could be that your debtor truly doesn’t have the resources to pay. They are not even going to try.
On the other hand, they may have decided to stop paying because they do not think you will go after them. Yet if they have nonexempt assets you can leverage for payment, doing so could very well change their mind.
We Will Do Everything for You
We understand that collecting outstanding judgments is rarely easy. We also know that your frustration is real. But don’t give up on that judgment just yet. Give us a chance to take a look. If we can help you, we will do everything. We will put in the time. We will track down the debtor and find their assets. All you need to do is wait to get paid.
